Bike and Body Tune-Up Day
When: Saturday, July 8th at 8:00am (training rides), approximately 12:30pm for the clinics
Where: For the training rides, meet at the north end of Chelsea Piers (22nd Street and the West Side Bike Path near the restrooms) at 8:00am. Clinics will begin approximately 12:30pm (when the training rides return) at Ripley-Grier Studios at 939 8th Avenue, Studio 2B, between 55th and 56th Streets. Join us for a ride, some clinics or everything.
What: The second Saturday of each month our volunteer training ride leaders will guide you on gradually longer rides to help you get ready for September. The July ride will be a 70-mile training ride with a 40-mile option.You must wear a helmet, and please have at least one full bottle of water with you, a spare tube and snacks or money for snacks. Please bring a Metrocard and photo ID as well just to be safe.
The training rides will end at Ripley-Grier where we will have lunch waiting for you (if you RSVP)! and a full afternoon of clinics on stretching, strength training, injury prevention, nutrition, how to fix-a-flat and more.
